Mind Blowing
A basic of political intelligence is to get inside the mind of the enemy. Picture what he or she is thinking, planning, vulnerable to, ignorant of, prejudiced toward. Terrorists, organized or free lance, know this. Their heads contain the same tools for reasoning as the rest of us have.
Who would the terrorists rather see in the White House, Bush, who is said to believe God is directing his actions, or Kerry, who advocates working with the UN and NATO and accredited and dependable agencies in the common cause toward peace?
There is widespread speculation that the terrorists will strike at the Republican convention in New York, which has resulted in unprecedented security. I suggest that danger is minimal because it would strengthen Bush and his role as commander in chief in a time of terrorist attack

Jack, I agree. Won't it be nice a few years from now when we'll all be used to the name, Obama?

That's an interesting point, Mr. Mabley. I find it hard though as an agnostic to predict the actions of terrorists that are also religious fanatics. How much of what they plan is driven by cold logic, and how much from religious fervor? I would suggest though that no matter what the real level of danger is, President Bush will use the heightened security as an excuse to block out protesters and suppress dissent, just as he has tried to do to the country as a whole the last few years.
It said my post was removed by author. I didn't remove it. I can't believe Jack would remove a dissenting opinion. Oh well.
It could've been an accident Jim; as you can see above, I made a few myself, being relatively new to blogging.
That's OK, guys. Maybe you have been distracted lately "...thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people..." Perhaps you will get it right next time. Ask some Democratic friend for help. Caring, compassionate liberals will not hold this against you. We know that it takes a village to raise a child.
Gee, thanks for the concern Bob. The blog setup fooled me the first time I tried it, but as the old saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on... shame on you....fool me, fool me twice..." umm...

All Christians believe this. You make it sound like a bad thing. The bad guys want Kerry to win. He'll spin in the wind and do nothing at all to stop them.

The UN? Credible. Check out the Sudan sometime. The massacare in Darfur...
The UN is a joke. Has been for years.

Anyone who works in IT or physical security thinks about ways to attack their own assets. Its part of the jobs. Only the clueless see this as a bad thing.

Did you notice where those protesting the DNC were put? Protesting is acceptable anywhere. It's when people like Tom Hayden (threatening to make NY2004 worse than Chicago 68 do I loose any and all respect for the protestors.
